Privacy Policy

PocketTracker is designed to keep your personal finance records on your device. This policy explains the limited information the app processes and the choices you control.

Information stored on your device

PocketTracker stores the profiles, transactions, categories, budgets, recurring payments, preferences, and selected wallet-import sources that you create on the device. This data is used to provide the app’s tracking and insights features and is not sent to PocketTracker as part of normal use.

Wallet-notification import

On Android, you may explicitly enable wallet-notification import and choose which supported wallet or bank apps to use. When enabled, PocketTracker reads the title, text, source app, and time from notifications issued by those selected apps. It keeps a small pending queue on your device so you can review a suggested transaction. You can turn this feature off at any time in Settings; turning it off stops future notification capture.

Backups and imports

Exporting a backup creates a file only when you choose to do so. Importing reads the backup file you select and replaces the data on that device. PocketTracker does not upload these backup files automatically.

Purchases and Premium access

Purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. PocketTracker uses RevenueCat to check Premium entitlement status, restore purchases, and show the available subscription options. RevenueCat receives a stable pseudonymous app customer identifier and purchase-entitlement information needed to provide Premium access. PocketTracker does not use this information for advertising or sell it.

Notifications

If you enable reminders or budget alerts, PocketTracker asks for notification permission and schedules notifications locally on your device. You can disable these notifications in the app or in your device settings.

Your choices

You can delete individual local profiles, reset all local app data, disable wallet import, and disable notifications from Settings. Uninstalling PocketTracker removes app-managed local data from the device. Store purchase history and records held by Google Play, the Apple App Store, or RevenueCat are managed under their respective policies.

Data sharing and advertising

PocketTracker does not sell personal information, run third-party advertising, or use your finance records for targeted advertising. The third-party services described above process only the information needed for purchases.
